Born and raised on the west coast of Canada, artist Jessie Somers graduated from the University of the Fraser Valley with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2010. Being completely self-taught in the ways of watercolor Jessie enjoys painting surreal, fantasy based subjects as well as natural views, landscapes and portraits. Since working at Opus Art Supplies Jessie has been experimenting with new ways to display her watercolors, on wood panel and finished with glossy resin. Jessie has been teaching painting classes for almost 10 years and displays her work often in local galleries and shops.
